I now have a studio located in downtown Moab, just a block from the Visitor’s Center, that includes a classroom and am proud to be able to offer workshops for individuals who want to improve their skills. You can book a half-day short-course to learn basic skills, or a full day intensive learning experience.
Each workshop will include classroom time to learn the basics of camera operation and the principles of composition. Then we will go into the field to practice the skills taught in the classroom. I will demonstrate techniques and provide instruction in how to make better compositions. Finally, it’s back to the studio to edit the image files, select a favorite image, work up the file in Photoshop and make a print for you to take home. Each participant will receive a copy of my eight-page folder 7 Key Secrets to Better Landscape Photos.
My six hour workshop short-courses begin at 8 a.m. at my studio/classroom in downtown Moab. You will learn the basics of camera operation and composition skills. Then we will go into the field to practice the skills you’ve learned. Then it’s back to the studio where we will provide a box lunch and soft drinks as we edit your shoot, work up your favorite image and create a fine art print for you to take home. You will receive personal attention as the workshops are limited to one student, although a spouse or partner can participate at no extra cost.
